The Southern Staircase 2-Step Stair Solution is a builder-focused product. Our prefinished stair treads and prefab handrail package is designed to help the professional builder save time, money, and headaches.

Step One
Southern Staircase installs a shop-built, prefabricated stair carriage. The sub-carriage will have a rounded nosing edge to help prevent damage, along with paint-grade risers and stringers. The installation takes place once the roofing is finished, and the structure is “dried-in”. The sub-carriage is a very reliable stair unit that will allow work to continue moving forward while minimizing potential damage caused by foot traffic, installation of systems, and so much more.
Step Two
We have a selection of prefinished handrails, balusters, and treads to choose from that will give your home the desired look and feel you envisioned. Southern Staircase partners with Sherwin Williams to provide our customers with a range of stain finishes that complement the main flooring of the home. Our crew will return to the home(s) and install the finished treads, handrails, and couve molding. The finished landing tread/platform hardwood installation is optional. This installation can take place before or after the flooring stage. All treads and handrails come with a durable conversion varnish finish and no additional staining will need to take place after installation.
